James E. Casart, CEO, has over thirty years of experience in providing business advisory and tax consulting services, with specific expertise in enterprise growth, acquisition and exit planning, and the strategies needed to accomplish those objectives. Jim has been involved as a principal, consultant or advisor to over $2 billion in successful transactions in diverse industries. His strategic support helps emerging businesses in the areas of outsourced financial services, funding, and transactional structuring. Jim is also a partner at Karsh Consulting, P.C., Certified Public Accountants, in charge of the Tax Division and Business Consulting Services Group.
Mark H. Henry, Director of Business Development and Government Funding, is a nationally known expert in the $2.5 Billion federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, which provide early-stage R&D funding for small, high-tech businesses nationwide. He has 29 years of experience in helping innovative small firms across the country win hundreds of government R&D grants and contracts. Mark provides client support in the planning, coordination, and production/writing/editing of proposals for obtaining grants and contracts that support client R&D efforts and company development. Mark has been involved in the planning, preparation, and production of some 1,800 SBIR and STTR proposals, and he is known around the country as the "Vince Lombardi" of the SBIR Program.
Catherine Henry, COO, Grants and Contracts Manager, manages internal operations, business development services, and grants and contracts for the company. She works with Mark Henry in providing proposal support services to obtain government funding for clients, and contracts/grants management support after the proposal is awarded. Her ownership for more than ten years of a small business computer consulting firm provides her the "small business" perspective on the SBIR program. She helps clients negotiate the various and diverse governmental agency requirements for Phase I and II SBIR/STTR proposal submissions, and with agency electronic contract applications. She also has extensive experience in writing, editing, and preparing proposals to be responsive to agency-specific requirements, and in helping clients manage the contracting process after the award is won.
Jarred S. Brown, CFO, and Director of Financial Services, provides strategic financial and accounting services to Grow clients. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and is proficient with GAAP, process development, and both public and private reporting requirements. He has performed risk assessments and developed audit programs in accordance with auditing standards and firm policies within various industries including advertising, manufacturing, financial services, casinos, energy firms, and governmental agencies. He works with Grow clients on strategic financial business services, serving as an outsourced CFO, and is in charge of client government financial management for grants and contracts to ensure financial compliance with GAAP and federal contracting (FAR) regulations, including DCAA and other agency audits.
Sarah Sinicki, Accounting Manager, is in charge of Grow's accounting operations. She was previously the controller at a construction company, gaining extensive experience with construction accounting practices and procedures. An expert in using the Quickbooks accounting system, she helps clients to set up and maintain accounting and bookkeeping systems to accurately track business operations and works with clients to accurately track and manage their accounting and business operations.
